Spread butter on each half of each bun and set aside.
Brown ground beef in skillet and drain if needed.
In same skillet add drained beans, tomato sauce, and seasonings. Then heat and blend thoroughly.
Add shredded cheese and stir until it just starts to melt.
Spoon mixture from skillet onto bottom half of each bun. Sprinkle on shredded lettuce and cover with top half of bun.
Serve immediately.
